How the accumulator is inflated?

The accumulator should be inflated with an inflation tool. To inflate the accumulator, slowly turn the inflation switch and close it immediately when inflation is complete. Then open the inflation switch to release the residual gas on the gas line. During inflation, attention should be paid to the use of the stop valve and pressure reducing valve between the inflation tool and the nitrogen cylinder. Before inflation, open the shut-off valve, and then slowly open the pressure reducing valve, and slowly inflate to avoid damage to the capsule. When the manometer needle indicates that the inflation pressure has been reached, close the shut-off valve. Then close the inflation switch and the inflation is finished.

What is the accumulator filling pressure?

The filling pressures of the accumulators used are as follows.

① When the accumulator is used for shock mitigation, it is usually inflated at the working pressure of the installation or at a slightly higher pressure.

② Accumulator used to absorb pressure pulsations of the hydraulic pump, generally 60% of the average pulsation pressure for the filling pressure.

③ accumulator if used to store energy, the end of its filling pressure shall not exceed 90% of the minimum working pressure of the hydraulic system, but not less than 25% of the maximum working pressure.

④ accumulator if used to compensate for closed circuit temperature deformation caused by pressure deformation, its filling pressure should be equal to or slightly lower than the minimum pressure of the circuit.

How do I check the accumulator inflation pressure?

Check the accumulator filling pressure as follows:

The manometer will be installed in the accumulator near the oil port, with the pump to the accumulator filled with oil, and then make the pump stop, so that the pressure oil through the valve connected with the accumulator slowly from the accumulator outflow. Observe the pressure gauge in the process of oil discharge, the pressure gauge pointer slowly down to the value of the accumulator filling pressure, the accumulator in the lifting valve is closed, at this moment the pressure gauge pointer quickly down to zero. In the rapid decline in pressure before the pressure gauge reading, that is, for the accumulator filling pressure.

Alternatively, the filling pressure can be checked directly with the filling tool. It is worth noting that this method is not suitable for accumulators with a very small capacity, since a little gas has to be drained off for each check.
